Individual psychotherapy is a means that can help you with the presenting issues that are causing you worry and distress. Some presenting issues can be: unprocessed trauma, feeling anxious and or depressed, grief of a loss, life stressors, general feelings of dissatisfaction and others. An individual session lasts for a maximum of 55 minutes and can be carried out once a week or every fortnight depending of the individual needs
I work with person virtually when this facilitates their life and they can fit it into their schedule more easily. Persons need to be locally based and have access to a stable computer with good internet connectivity.
As a practitioner in this field, I am committed to creating, curating and cultivating the right elements to support those who are going through grief. I can provide a platform from where the theme of grief in all its different hues can be expressed and witnessed.
I have conducted several sensitivity groups in different organizational settings which consist of a small number of persons who have a common goal and tasks. Also I intend to set up support groups for those persons who are experienced loss and need support in this painful journey. I would like to collaborate with other service providers in order to address the various needs of different individuals going through this difficult time.
I have worked full time with adolescents for a number of years, mostly as a service provider in educational settings and will continue to do so to provide a service to this particular client group. Adolescents and their families need to be supported and understood in a society that is becoming increasing stressful and hard to navigate.
